Baked Beans: Quick, Simple, Tasty

During barbecue season, you can’t forget sides. One traditional standby, of course, is baked beans. With not a lot of effort, you can make delicious baked beans and go back to tending to the other elements of your barbecue spread. Here’s my recipe:

  • 2 cans of  baked beans (go with your favorite; I typically use the regular ones or vegetarian)
  • barbecue sauce (I add 1/4 cup per serving, so 1 3/4 cups of barbecue sauce)
  • dried onion flakes to taste

That’s it! I empty the cans into a pot, add the barbecue sauce and onion, and cook through. This makes seven 1/2-cup servings.
